Local and federal law enforcement have uncovered a large-scale steroids ring in Irvine this week, which may have distributed drugs locally and internationally. The Irvine Police Department worked alongside with U.S. Customs and Border Protection personnel to search an Irvine couple's home, the couple were suspected of selling drugs from their home.

Authorities say they found 40 vials and 20,000 pills believed to be steroids in the home of Carlos Hernandez, 27, and his wife, Roxanne, 30. The couple allegedly produced and distributed the illegal substance from Irvine.

Police seized equipment used to manufacture drugs such as chemicals they believe was used to covert powdered steroids into a liquid form and shipping material allegedly used to send the product across the U.S. and world. Police also recovered three handguns, a shotgun, a rifle, several large-capacity magazines, and more than $6,000 in cash.
